Penile venous leak surgery is a surgical option that aims to improve the trapping of blood within the penis in selected venous-leak cases. Suitability is determined by detailed vascular assessment.

In selected cases with a marked venous leak that do not respond adequately to medical treatment, a surgical approach to the venous structures causing the leak may be considered. Candidate selection is very important, so studies such as drug-assisted colour Doppler ultrasound are performed.
